About

About this site

AI for the Marketer is written by one person. It's about how I use AI in my own daily work.

I'm Rob Vail, an independent marketing and growth consultant. I research, write and edit everything here myself.

Most AI marketing advice comes from someone selling a tool, a platform or a course. This site sells nothing. It's for people who have to make this stuff work on a real campaign, with a real budget, this quarter. That means prompt libraries with the reasoning attached, workflow guides that admit trade-offs, and role-by-role playbooks - starting here if you're new.

How I use AI to make this site

It would be strange to write about AI marketing workflows without using them. I produce articles with AI assistance - research, drafting and editing pipelines much like the ones I document - and I review, edit and fact-check every page myself before I hit publish. Statistics link to their original sources. The prompts and workflows I publish are the ones I actually use.

Updates

I'm trying to keep everything up to date. The master guide has a visible changelog and posts show an updated date when updated with new information.

More about me

The longer story - how consulting led me here, and why I care more about AI use cases than AI products - is on my author page.
